LOCATION
Location can help emphasise your story.
Photoshoot at home gives a very personal experience, often great for family & maternity photoshoots. Everyone is more relaxed in their own space, especially kids.
It can also be the place you went on a date for the first time, place you love to visit, thing you both enjoy doing the most!

Seaside can evoke feelings of peace, freedom and strength.
Forest amplifies connection, wonder and solitude.
Flowers show off their beauty, fertility and a sense of fulfilment.

If you are unsure about location, I have suggestions for locations to choose that I know look amazing.
TIME OF THE DAY
We can take photos any time of the day. But each time brings different feeling to your photos.
Hour after sunrise or hour before sunset are the most magical times to take photos; the sun is in a perfect angle in the sky that makes us glow
Daylight sun can make great shadows to play with to tell a story, light can shine through hair and clothes.
I personally love blue hour, it is less saturated and gives a fairytale feeling.
Here you can see photos of different times of the day:
CLOTHING
For a individual portrait shoot: try to wear something that screams you! Your favourite colour clothes or clothes that make you feel confident.

Match the environment.
Forest blends with more natural materials like linen and cotton, natural colour tones. Or the opposite,
with bright colours like red or sapphire blue, you will stand out and it will look magical!
In city you want to wear more urban style clothes, also sunglasses are a great accessory.
In the beach I recommend flowy clothes, something that wind can blow or sun can shine through.

Couple / family photoshoot: try to match your clothes in your photoshoots. Decide are you dressing casual, formal, which colour are you choosing. It can be same color or maybe different colors but in pastels.  If you can't decide, ask me, I am happy to help you!
Good combos: Jeans and matching colour shirts, pastel colours, all black, all white.

Please take off your sports watches, hair ties or anything else on your wrists that you don't want to be seen on images. And empty your pockets, all those shapes are very visible in photos. This happens a lot, especially with men and phones in their front pockets.

POSING
Posing is scary, I know. But if you explain to me your dynamics, are you shy, out going, energetic, calm, romantic or fun, it will let me prepare poses/actions for you to match your energy!

Usually I don't ask to just pose, I give an action like: chase each other! Whisper something funny in each others ear. Run towards each other. That way you don't have to pose, I just capture whatever you are doing. And the pictures are so much better because of it.
I promise, we will have fun, look at all these smiling faces!
